Welcome to the Merrimack Lions Club

Lions are Men and Women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes benefiting their local and world community. Our motto is: "WE SERVE"

The Merrimack Lions Club has been active in the Merrimack community since 1970. For a full listing of our various activities, including meetings, service projects, fund raisers, and social actitivies, please see our Events page.

Some off our fund raisers (all of which are returned to the community) include running Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments, selling Tickets at local Spring and Fall Carnivals, and running our annual Golf Tournament. We are involved in many service activies, such as:
  • Provide Eye Glasses for the Needy
  • Conduct Free Preschool Eye Screenings
  • Sponsor Annual Merrimack Friars Special Needs Christmas Party
  • Adopt a Highway (Rt 3 north of Silo's)
  • Support Project DARE
  • Conduct Youth Ice Fishing Tourament at the Winter Carnival
  • Contribute Regualry to St John Newman and St James Food Pantries
  • Support Project Safeguard for Merrimack Middle and High Schools
  • Bingo for the Elderly
  • In addition to these activites, the Club donates money or service time to support a number of additional projects and residents concerns.

Interested in Joining? The club is looking to increase its membership to accomplish more community projects and meet the growing needs of the citizens of Merrimack. Contact our membership chairman, Tricia Hanson, at 603 424-6884.

    About Lions

Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.

Today with more than approximately 45,000 clubs in 199 countries and geographical areas, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community.

Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve."

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.

Why should I become a Lion?

As a Lions club member, you can:

    • Make a difference everyday in your community. Whether it is providing support locally or reaching out internationally, you will have an opportunity to serve.
    • Be a part of a worldwide organization carrying out community and humanitarians projects. Members allow Lions clubs worldwide to carry out its many community and humanitarian programs.
    • Grow personally and professionally by participating in our programs, community service projects and events.
    • Gain an understanding and have an impact on local and international humanitarian issues.
    • Develop relationships with both local and international community and business leaders.
    • Have access to membership discounts and services.

    Interested in becoming a member?
