| Lions
and other volunteers collect used eyeglasses for donation
to Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers that are located
throughout the world. The used eyeglasses are cleaned,
repaired and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses
are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers
and other organizations hosting optical missions in
developing countries.
Individuals
may donate used eyeglasses to the Manchester Lion's club
by contacting us at (603)497-8028 and leaving a
message, the
necessary phone number or location where they can be
picked up. You can also drop off glasses. We also have
collection boxes in several places throughout the city of
Manchester at Brookside Congregational Church on N.
Elm St., Members First Credit Union on Bridge St or Union
St. and Walmart in Manchester in their eye care
center.
