This past weekend YOUR NASHUA LIONS CLUB had members at both the PAL HAOMTTD House fKL Wayne, Phil, PDO Ed and Dick Welch) and the Sight 86 Hearing HAt-'/VTCD Hct/5E in Manchester. In fact, Lions .John Deschenes and Phil Flynn worked the S&H event last weekend as -well! Lions Al Savage and Lou Marino have announced that our annual Breakfast With Santa will be held on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18th in cooperation with The Ground Round'. PLEASE MARK THAT DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR! With PPG Ed running for International Director we will be having a Nashua Lions Hospitality Room at the MP44 Mid-Winter Convention, January 2O-22. 2OO6 at The Crowne Plaza Hotel. Lion Becky Lecius captained her Marist College Women's Eight team to the schools best finish ever in the recent Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston—the Marist women finished 4th in a field of 46 PDG Ed Lecius will be honored November 17th as the 2OO5 community Care Giver of the Year by CareGivers at a dinner at the Courtyard By Marriott Lion Phil Flynn, Ed and Elaine Lecius will represent our club at the Vermont Lions Homecoming for Past International Director Jules Cote' in Burlington next weekend Lions Phil & Evie Flynn joined KL Wayne and Donna Osborne at the recent services for former KL Leo Palmer information on the 89th LCI International Convention scheduled for Boston June 3O-July 4 has been included with the newsletter this week...the NH delegation as well as NE will be housed at Hampton Inn & Lion Lou & Gail Marino, Lions Phil & Evie and Lion Al LaMontagne and Kathy represented us at the Gate City Comedv nieht. Gate City-Nashua Lions Golf Committee Chair Mike Mansfield stopped by recently to drop off our share of the 20O5 Lions Golf tournament, and let me tell you that the hard work by Lions from both clubs paid off! Lion Mike "thanked" Lions Lou Marino and Dick Welch for their work on the committee and said plans for 2OO6 were already underway! With PDG Ed hopefully New Hampshire's candidate for International Director it would be nice to have a good showing of NASHUA LIONS! ROAMIN' AROUND THE LIONS DEN...."Thanks" to Lions Lyn Gabrielson, Elaine Lecius, Lou Marino and Ed Lecius for bringing potential members to recent meetings...Did you know that the Nashua Lions Club is one of ONLY FOUR clubs in the state to have their charter signed by Melvin Jonesl?!?!?! As the oldest club it is important that we continue to grow, raise funds and support programs...,remember, it takes more than the same for or five people...when you joined you agreed to attend meetings regularly and support the club....Lion Mark Newhall reports that he still has a few 200 Club Tickets for sale...have you bought yours yet? Did you know that between Lions Al Savage and Ed Lowe they have over 100 years of Lions Service? Or the fact that Lions Norm Fanrsworth, Stanley Zis and Spiro Linatsas have over 12O years of combined service!
