The Hillsboro Lions Club of Hillsboro, New Hampshire, USA is in District 44N.

On 27 June, the club  inducted its new officers for the 2006-2007 Lions year.  We were pleased to have Past International Director Porter Schoff and Lion Ramona Schoff of the Portsmouth Lions Club to do the induction of officers.

One of the highlights of the evening was Lion Mike Stellato was named Lion of the Year for 2005-2006 for the Hillsboro Lions Club.

Past Council Chairman Peter de Moya of the Monadnock Lions Club was also present to make some special presentations.  Deceased Lions Ed Lappies and Jerry Burnham were remembered with Granite State Fellowships named in their memory.  Mary Ann Lappies and Kay Burnham were present to receive the plaques.

Long time members, Leigh Bosse and Mike Stellato, were recognized for their contributions to the club and the community and were presented with Melvin Jones Fellowships by PID Porter Schoff on behalf of the Hillsboro Lions.

The Hillsboro Lions recently presented $7,500 in scholarships to five graduating seniors and eight students already in college for the coming year.

The Hillsboro High School Band was the recipient of $2,900 from our club towards the purchase of  new band uniforms. This donation put them over the top!
