Awards for Outstanding Community
Service
On June 2, 2008
at Souhegan
High School, the
Amherst Lions Club presented two awards of $1,000 each to Miss Brittany Leknes
and Miss Elizabeth Urbanik
for their record of outstanding community service. Congratulations to both of
them!
The Lions Club Scholarship is
awarded to a high school senior who is an Amherst or Mont Vernon resident and
who has an outstanding record of community service. The application form is
available here.

Raffle
Raffle tickets for sale to benefit
Amherst Lions Club charities. Only $5 per ticket! Each ticket is eligible for
three drawings. The first 2 drawings on July 4th are for signed baseballs, one by Tim Wakefield of the Red Sox and the other by the 2007 Fisher Cats team. The third drawing
will be held on August 20th for 4 tickets to the September 10th Red Sox Game
(Field Box Seats). They are valued at $125 each. E-mail us to make
arrangements to buy tickets.

Internet to members of Lions Clubs International, the worlds largest service
organization. Many Lions clubs, districts, multidistricts,

Amherst Lions Club, established June 16, 1972, is a vibrant club that really
mean it when they say "We Serve." The club meets 6:30pm every 2nd
and 4th Wednesday at:
